Network
Slots are led by a published set of validators weighted by stake. Right now there is 1 validator with 29,999,999.99 tKYV of active stake.
Each slot has a scheduled leader, chosen proportionally to stake. A leader that does not produce in time leaves a skipped slot and the schedule moves on. Slots last about 0.4 seconds, and the network is in epoch 11 (slot 29,340 of 65,536).
Validators vote on each slot they observe. Once votes representing more than two-thirds of stake confirm a slot, it is rooted and final: there are no competing chains to reorganize. A transaction with one confirmation is effectively final.
The network keeps confirming slots while more than two-thirds of stake is online and honest. A single-validator network stops if that validator stops; adding validators raises this tolerance.
